Teaching Tip: Sometimes you just need to scream!

My calls to Bryan’s managing foster care agency were going nowhere, and had this happened to a typical second grade boy and his fourth grade sister, the situation probably would not have warranted concern. However, I remember that evening, alone outside my house in the cool, silent darkness of the Hill Country, letting out a boiling stream of angry messages intended for Ms. Long. These children have no one to speak for them! You are charged with – and paid for – filling a role that their biological parents could not. These children are beautiful and perfect, and they will love us all no matter what we do. They need to be loved in return, taught and parented, kept from harm and helped to succeed! How can you, can anyone, just not care?
